  Very helpful staff, held open 30 minutes longer so we could get a rifle, after having some paperwork issues with our rifle license.

  This is a nice shop with nice gear inside. The personal is friendly if you buy or rent something. The rules of the shop is to be very close to their money. For my trip, I had to rent 2 riffles for 6 days. I also spended with my group on the first day about €2000 for clothing. Unfortunately, I arrived on the 6th day 10 minutes too late and the shop was already closed. I came back the next day as soon as the shop opened and brought back the 2 riffles and they charged us both riffles not only for one extra day but for the equivalent of a new day. I think this is not really fear and friendly. Also, the guns we received are very old (built in 1942) and very heavy. You can buy them for € 100 in Europe which is also the rate Longyear 78 require from you for 6 days rental. If you come to Longyearbyen try to bring you own riffle expecially if you do hiking or prefer to rent them in the SPORT CENTERED same building as 78 degree Taxefree. Enjoy Spitzberg it is a beautiful place :-)
